Newlyweds In-home Session Old town, Alexandria
Carter + Amanda
For Amanda and Carter, it all started when Carter opened the door for Amanda at church one Sunday morning. Since then they’ve gotten engaged in Yosemite National Park, California, married in Nashville, Tennessee, live in Old town, Alexandria in their first home, and soon will be relocating to the beautiful state of Montana.
For this session - It all started when Amanda and Carter reached out to me after seeing my #OldtownAlexandriaPhotographer hashtag on my instagram.. woohoo (pumped when hashtags work) and shortly after they inquired about a session in-home and around Old Town, Alexandria. Carter, being in the Navy has to move around a lot, and before their next big move, Amanda and Carter wanted me to capture their first home as a married couple.
Before the session, I asked what they love about their home and the town of Old town, Alexandria. They said it’s the first time we’ve had a “home” a space to call ours and I mean - once you see this cute little townhome.. you’ll see why. The beams, the danity accessories, living across the street from the cutest ice cream shop, the homey feeling… an ideal home for newly weddings like these two.
Their review: “Fun. Lexi made posing and running around chasing light so much fun. We were so glad we did it. Easy. We aren’t the most comfortable in front of a camera but Lexis easy-going spirit made it easy for us to settle in and enjoy the session. Personable. Lexi was easy to talk to and after our short session she already felt like a friend.”
So so sweet - when I leave knowing a made some life long friends through what I do it’s the best feeling ever ;’)
I can’t wait to hang with these two in Montana sometime soon!
